Spartan Pro Timmie Brann created Hybrid House out of her love and passion for the fitness world, racing, and her athletic community. With passion and a gift for coaching and leading, she has attracted best-in-class trainers and led her team and gym community with vision and purpose.

"Hybrid House is the absolute best. I had NEVER been to a gym before, and was suggested this one from a friend, and have been going for almost 6 months now...I feel like I found a home. Having never been to a gym before, and very intimidated by them and gym culture in general, walking into a smaller and more intimate space was SO helpful for me. The best part...the coaches REALLY give you their attention. I'm a curious person and want to know the why behind the what, and every single one of the them answers my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. I've learned so much that I can now take with me to future workouts and beyond. I also really enjoy the size of the gym: it's basically got two rooms. For someone who often has option paralysis, and is still learning a lot, it's really helpful to see a few machines, barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, a few other things...it just helps me focus and feel like whatever workout is ahead is more attainable. It feels more intimate, and really lends to that community experience. Definitely my preference, and I'll now be spoiled forever for the size of a gym!

Being a queer person working through body and gender issues, it's a really big deal to be able to go somewhere you're going to be working hard and facing your weaknesses and then know that you're safe. I am exploring name change right now, and told Timmie (the owner of the gym, a queer woman who I will rave about in just a moment) that I wanted to go by a different name than she had previously known me by (for over a month! I had sampled some classes at their other location). Next week I showed up, she and the other coaches were using my chosen name. No questions, no weird, no mistakes. That was a MASSIVE deal to me, as it was the first place I was really trying it out. That made me feel incredibly safe and respected, and I've felt so supported in my fitness but also gender journey here. The reason being...this place is all about community! It's really just about a group of people hanging out and lifting kettlebells and shit. It's fantastic, I go every week to improve my fitness and reach my body goals, but also because I care about seeing these people every week. That's a good feeling.

Coach Timmie is a rockstar. A true champion of others, she pushes people INTO their potential. I've never felt pushed beyond my limit here in a way that felt violating or overwhelming...it has instead felt motivating, and rewarding when I see the payoff of the push! Timmie is down-to-earth, kind, and supportive. I'm so happy to be supporting a gym that supports the community so well!

ALL the coaches are fantastic, but special other shout-out to Coach Tim & Coach Blake! I work with them the most throughout the week, and they've really helped me improve and grow stronger. They're both so skilled at making others feel comfortable and capable, and again...that's a huge deal in this kind of environment! I appreciate the time y'all have invested in me. I look forward to your classes each week.

I don't even know how one goes about gym-shopping, but you really don't have to search once you've come across Hybrid House. I'd recommend it to anyone, and often do...mostly because I didn't think I could do the things I can do now, and that's a pretty big deal to witness in yourself. Thank you, HH, for everything!"

"My wife and I joined Hybrid house in January. We have both worked out at various gyms in the past and agree that nothing compares to hybrid! They are not just your typical gym you show up to, do some cardio and lift some weights then leave. They have a variety of classes to fit anyone's schedule and they will kick your ass! They are small classes with the best trainers! Sara and Timmie are favorites. They push you, correct you and always there to cheer you on. They know how to get results and best of all the community around you are the best.

When we were searching for a new gym, we tried out Hybrid for a week and never went to any other gym. They give you a feeling of comfort even if you are uncomfortable with the workout. They teach you and are the most down to earth amazing humans you could meet.

"I've been a member of Hybrid House for almost four months now. I joined after doing one workout with coach Brent and loved how he encouraged me to push beyond my comfort zone. When I joined in January, I thought I was simply joining a new gym, but I've gained so much more than a new gym.

The owner, Timme, has created a community unlike anything I've ever experienced in my fitness journey so far. I've taken classes at three other well-known group fitness gyms (two national franchises and one local company), but nothing compares to the family and sense of belonging that I've found at Hybrid House. I go there for the workouts, to sweat, and to push myself to new limits, but it's the PEOPLE that keep me coming back. All of the coaches are very friendly and knowledgeable, and they offer a wide variety of classes that keep my workout routine challenging and fun. 

Hybrid House also introduced me to the world of hybrid racing events like Hyrox and Deka, and because of their expert training, I participated in my first Hyrox event last weekend and placed fourth in my age group. I mean these people are pushing sleds, flipping tires, etc etc. Well, HH made it easy. All the coaches welcomed me with open arms, provided modifications, encouraged me and most importantly - created a community I didn't even know I was missing. The energy of this gym creates a space I enjoy coming back to every single time. We laugh, we work out and we crush it. "Hybrid house has totally changed my life. It sounds dramatic but it's true. I started in my 40s after not exercising for two decades. I was weak and only strong enough to do the bare minimum during the day. I couldn't even run. Now I'm running 8ks and lifting heavy things.

The amazing Hybrid coaches played a huge role of getting stronger and faster. They COACH you. They help with form, offer alternatives, tell you to add more weight...seriously irreplaceable.

The workouts are so fun and never ever boring. They're different every day, and the community is soooo fun. You end up working out and sweating with the same great people everyday.
